SLCP Driver Training
This course equips you to safely transport clients with physical impairments in vehicles such as taxis and shuttles
This course is designed to equip you with the skills to safely pick up, drop off, and provide attentive care to customers with impairments or disabilities. You'll learn safe driving techniques and workplace practices to meet the needs of your passengers effectively.
MUST HAVE:
- New Zealand Class 1 Full licence
- Access to a Wheel Chair Mobility vehicle & a Wheel Chair
All students are required to bring their National Student Number (NSN) with them to the course. If you do not know the number you can contact the NZQA prior to attending the course, call 0800 697 296 Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. Or contact them via their website New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) and use the chat bot.
If you haven't done a course in NZ you won't have a NSN, we will apply for one for you. If you are having problems getting your NSN we can help you.

8am – 4pm each day, or until assessments / driving assessment completed.
Certificate:
Successful individuals will receive a certificate showing unit standards achieved
NZQA Unit Standards:
This course covers the following NZQA Unit Standards;

| 1748: | Transport passengers with impairments and disabilities |
| 1750: | Foster effective passenger relations |
| 3462: | Demonstrate knowledge of traffic law for purpose of safe driving |
| 15165: | Transport passengers in wheelchairs using total mobility vehicles equipped with a hoist or ramp |
| 17593: | Apply safe work practices in the workplace |
All NZQA credits are reported to the NZQA for recording on your Record of Achievement, once the course has been completed successfully.
