Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
This course is designed to produce an EWP operator who has a sound understanding of the operating principles of EWPs and who can demonstrate safe operating practices in a work environment. The course meets the Work Safe and NZQA requirements for operating an EWP. Contents of the course include:
Theory Presentation
Site Safety & PPE
Maintenance of equipment and pre start checks
Load security
Rated Capacity and Safe Working Loads (SWL)
Legislative Requirements
Written assessment
Practical Training
Maneuvering
Maintenance Checks of equipment & PPE
Practical assessment
Equipment:
Training can be done either at our site or training can be conducted at the clients’ venue. A suitable lecture room needs to be available for the theory presentation, as well as room to maneuver for the practical activities.
Duration:
One Day – (8am – 4pm approx.), depending on numbers attending and previous experience. A Refresher course normally takes 4 – 5 hours, depending on numbers attending

$500 +GST

Certificate:
Successful individuals receive our “company” Certificate, as well as a wallet-size Operator Card. Retests will be conducted if required.

NOTE:
“Operator certification of competency” qualification needs to be renewed every three years.
